The Word

but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

-Isaiah 40:31

Out of mere boredom and curiosity, all thanks to my brain remembering something that Matthew Crawshaw put up on his livejournal, I googled my name. Yep, that's right; My full name in that google box. Here are the top ten results (I'll just type the title of the website):

1. CIAO Contributors
2. Applegate Directory Ltd
3. Temasek Junior College Online
4. Manila Bulletin Online
5. NUS: Faculty of Law - Alumni Directory
6. NUS: Faculty of Law - Alumni Directory
7. - The Filipino Global Community
8. Stardust | JPL | NASA
9. July 2004 Pass List (KL)
10. Sacred Heart School for Girls in Cebu City, Cebu City

And I thought that 6 was really interesting because there is an NUS graduate named Valerie Ann.

By the way, any one who appreciates "The Lake House" starring Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock, and you want to check out something a bit more elegant, peaceful and lighter... I recommend that you check out the korean original "IL Mare". I admit that it's a bit harder to relate to than the american remake, but it's just as nice, and like I said earlier, more elegant, peaceful and light.

I was stoning once again (ah, a favourite past time) when this white-covered photo album caught my eye. Confirmation 2005. A number of pictures of me standing on the stage in Victoria Concert Hall waiting for the bishop to pray for me. Some pictures of me seated down in a large crowd of girls dressed in white and men dressed up with ties. A few pictures in the restaurant at Raffles City - One of dickson and me; one of dickson (I miss those days when he wasn't DARN TALL, and those days when I could think of something to talk to him about), stacey and me. One of my brothers and me. It was quite a sight for sore eyes. I remember that day as a real happy one.

Nicolle and I were walking back to class after getting a drink on Friday (I think). We started talking about time. I can still remember when I was P5, a little defensive and less indepedent than I am now, long hair always tied in a low ponytail, prefect. To think it's already been 4 years, and I'm now in secondary 3. Sadly, I can't remember anything that happened before I was K2, and I can barely even remember the events of K2 and P1 (Those were definitely NOT happy years)

My Dad's birthday was last wednesday, and I made him a big A4 size card covered with birthday quotes such as "Inside every older person is a younger person wondering what the hell happened". Part of my message was: "I bet you were once a teenager like me, wondering it was like to even be 20!.......I'm going to be just as accomplished as you, Dad. Watch me!"
In a way, that's a promise to my dad. One way or another, I'm going to keep it.

Maybe some have noticed I've sort of not been online lately. Whenever I go online, I seriously have nothing to say to people, and that sucks, it defeats the purpose of even having an msn account. Even if I had something to say to someone online, I probably didn't think of it at that time, or just didn't feel like one to initiate a conversation.

How does one make life a little more interesting?
