It's interesting how God really is everywhere; and how He is the same everywhere.
Today, Canon Louis Tay spoke on the topic - 'Be Prepared and Prepare Others for the Day of Christ'
The first thing I saw when I walked into church was the verse clearly screened on the wall - Isaiah 40:31. My favourite verse, it's the verse that I lean my entire life on. Really, this verse speaks a lot of truth and wisdom in anything. =) God's reinforcement to me that what is said in the verse it utmost importance to my walk with Him.
Praise and Worship was definitely different from Planetshakers - Today the service decided to go a bit traditional with old classics and hymns. But I loved it. I felt God's presence so strong in the room, and could hear Him talkin to me at times.
Many of things he said reflected what PS Matt had spoken in church two weeks back. To stand for God, and to preach His Word, that it may touch the hearts of others. To sit back and do nothing is like going backwards, rather than forward into the future that God has set for us.
And I guess on a personal level, it's an aim worth fulfilling and looking forward too. Something that will satisfy, yet there's always more to make us happy. That's what God's love is.
Therefore, we need to stand strong for Him. Not to cower for He will protect us. In Psalms, there is verse which shows how God will destroy our enemies and wipe out those against us, protecting us in his unfailing love. =)
